Barium Live has been updated to version 2017.6 bringing with it some new features to BPMN 2.0 process apps, improvements to the modeling experience and bug fixes.
For BPMN 2.0 apps you can now configure Boundary Events on activities. Boundary events can be triggered through a number of different ways; time, external integrations, signals, messages from other apps and more and can automate your app flow creating apps that dynamically react to events.
Boundary Events can cancel activities or create additional parallel exception paths ensuring that the correct activities are getting done according to your app configuration.
There are many scenarios where Boundary Events can be useful:
- Escalate issues
- Cancel a task and do something else if a deadline is met
- Trigger new activites through an integration
